The Ladder Ranch, owned by Ted Turner, is an historic property of wild, natural beauty located 30 minutes SW of Truth or Consequences, and about 90 minutes northwest of Las Cruces. The tour will view prairie dog towns and bolson tortoise restoration facilities. Possibilities exist to see pronghorns, mule deer, javelina, elk, and wild turkeys, as well as a variety of birds.

Ranch Manager Steve Dobrott will give a brief presentation about Ladder Ranch and other Ted Turner ranches and discuss efforts to improve habitat for the endangered Chiricahua leopard frog.

A box lunch will be provided at the headquarters. Cost is $35 per person, which benefits the Hillsboro Historical Society, a non-profit organization. Registrants should contact Barbara Lovell for directions to the meeting point.
