Date(s) - Saturday November 15, 2014
10:00 am - 9:15 pm
Grapes Gallery, 407 N. Main Street, Truth or Consequences
Led by Tara Andrea, Maboud Swierkosz and hosted locally by Wendy Jehanara Tremayne this 3 part, day long workshop explores the mystery of The Circumference of Forever. How do we open so that our hearts and minds can be receptive to the experience of Eternity? What are the challenges of our humanity that make us contract rather than expand? We will contemplate these questions through the Dances of Universal Peace, Wazifah, walking and sitting meditation, chanting and group sharing. Workshop is in three sessions: 10am to 12:30, 2:15 to 5:15, and 7:15 to 9:15. Optional lunch and dinner together.
Tara Andrea and Maboud Swierkosz are long time mentors of the Dances of Universal Peace. They live in Santa Fe, NM where they lead public dance circles and bi annual Wazifah Dance Intensive Retreats. Both are guides in the Sufi Ruhaniat International. Their work has touched people throughout the world. Maboud works as a licensed psychotherapist using mindfulness-centered counseling approaches, Sufi-based depth psychology and Heart Rate Variability biofeedback methods. Tara Andrea has directed the Dances for the German Youth and Young Adult camp for 10 years and loves holding sacred spaces as a private caregiver for people needing home or hospice care.
