You are invited to take part in the rich paleontological legacy of the Armendaris Ranch on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017.
Armendaris Ranch is home to an impressive cache of Late-Cretaceous Period dinosaur bones, including specimens that are currently on display at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. There are active paleontology digs underway on the ranch, resulting in the recent excavation of a Sauropod femur.
This guided fossil “prospecting” tour is an easy 1.5-mile cross-country hike (which requires climbing a gentle hill) in search of undisturbed dinosaur bone fields. You will learn to differentiate bone fragments from the surrounding rock, and you may help identify the next promising site for further investigation and research.
To create an intimate, low-impact experience, this special 5-hour tour is limited to four guests, and offered at a discounted rate. Sign up today to take advantage of this special group pricing!
