Ted Turner’s sprawling Ladder Ranch is one of the finest bird watching sanctuaries in North America; its prime Rio Grande corridor location is a magnet for spring and fall migrations. Ladder Ranch offers exquisite, diverse habitats, ranging from lush riparian zones to arid, Chiricahua Desert. The Ladder is home to an impressive number of species, many of which enjoy the ranch year-round.
Departing in the pre-dawn hour will maximize your chances to spot a fantastic array of birds, and possibly see bison, black bear, elk, deer, coyote and several other species of wildlife. If you have interest, and time allows, your Ted Turner Expeditions guide will stop at Rock Art sites created by indigenous people. Whether you are a novice, or advanced birder, this special outing is a unique birding opportunity. Catch the early bird and be back by noon!
Ted Turner Expeditions will lead this special tour in honor of Bosque del Apache’s annual Festival of the Cranes. This special tour is limited to four guests, and offered at a discounted rate, to create an intimate, and low-impact, birding experience. Sign up now to take advantage of this special rate!
