Date(s) - Tuesday May 6, 2014
Tuesday, May 6th marks New Mexico’s first Day of Giving. Over 100 communities throughout the United States and over 450 non-profit organizations in New Mexico will be participating in this event. Minimum monetary gifts of $10 donated on the GiveGrande website that day will be amplified with matching funds from local and national funds.
Locally, six groups will be participating. They are AppleTree Educational Center, Sierra County Cancer Assistance, Sierra Health Council, MainStreet Truth or Consequences, Community Health Foundation, and the New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health. Volunteers from these organizations will be setting up stations at Bullock’s and Wal-Mart to increase awareness of their organizations and the event, and provide an internet access station, by which donors may give on site.
For participants that give at one of those stations, we will be handing out a voucher which will have a number of discounts at local establishments and they will also be entered in raffles which will be drawn throughout the day.
We appreciate your contribution to our event! Check out the website at www.givegrandenm.org
