Enjoy the scenic drive to Chloride, the holiday charm of a ghost town, great deals on works by local artisans and a special holiday meal during the 14th Annual Yuletide in Chloride, Nov. 30 thru Dec. 8.

The Monte Cristo Gift Shop & Gallery features the work of more than two dozen local artists, providing a great selection for everyone on your gifting list as well as for yourself.  Choose from paintings, photography, quilts, uniquely embroidered or hand stamped clothing, jewelry, hand crafted cards and soaps and so much more!  During Yuletide in Chloride most items will be on sale up to 50% off!  As a way to say “Thank you”, purchases of $25 will receive a free gift.  What a great way to start the holiday season!

The Chloride Bank Cafe will offer a Yuletide meal of Roast Beef served with roasted root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, turnips, etc.) and a homemade dinner roll.  Special desserts will also be available along with regular menu items.

Stepping into  the Pioneer Store Museum is like stepping back in time more than 100 years.  Built in 1800, the Pioneer Store served the citizens of Chloride as a general store until 1923.  The building then sat sealed with all of it’s contents intact for more than 70 years before being restored and opened as a museum.

Chloride is located 35 miles west of Truth or Consequences via Hwy 52.  At Winston turn left, stay on the paved road 2 1/2 miles to Chloride.  The Monte Cristo, the Pioneer Store Museum and the Chloride Bank Cafe are all located at the west end of Chloride.  Both the Monte Cristo  and the Museum are open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM.  The Cafe is open Thursday thru Monday 11 AM to 6 PM (closed Tues. & Wed.)  For more information contact the Monte Cristo at montecristogallery@windstream.net or the Chloride Bank Cafe at 575-743-0414 or chloridecafe@windstream.net.
