Acoustic Eidolon features Joe Scott on the double-necked “guitjo” and Hannah Alkire on cello. The 14-stringed, one-of-a-kind guitjo, an instrument of Joe’s own design, was praised by USA Today as a “beautiful harp-like sounding instrument … like nothing we’ve ever heard before.”
This dynamic musical duo has performed in Hillsboro numerous times, captivating locals, as well as audiences throughout the world, with their unusual instrumentation, their original blend of Celtic, Folk, World and Latin music, and their entertaining personalities and stories.
Refreshments will be served and CDs will be available for sale. The non-profit Hillsboro Community Center (HCC) is located on Elenora Street, next to the Union Church on the south hill overlooking the town. The HCC schedules a concert monthly.
