Kingston Schoolhouse Museum, 8 Water Street, Kingston
In 1890, Kingston was one of the wildest towns of the West. It had its share of gamblers, outlaws, prostitutes and miners who supported its 22 saloons. The population also supported a school, church and an even an opera house where the legendary Lillian Russell’s troupe performed.
Many mysteries have evolved from those tumultuous years. The signatures of Grover Cleveland, Washington, DC and Mark Twain appear in an old Victorio Hotel register from 1887. Yet, we know that neither one of them was ever in Kingston. This is only one of the many secrets that Kingston holds.
The Kingston Schoolhouse Museum presents a fundraising event “A Haunting Event.”
You are invited to participate in a GHOST INVESTIGATION guided by Purple Sage Paranormal and Paranormal Perspectives at 4 historic locations in Kingston. Cost is $25 per person. Reservations are required as space is limited. Call 575-895-5501 for information and reservations.
