Old Monticello Organic Farm, Monticello Valley, Monticello
This event has reached capacity and enrollment is closed. Thanks for your interest!
An Invitation. . .
“There is in all things visible… a hidden wholeness.”
– Thomas Merton
This contemplative retreat is in it’s 8th year, please consider joining in.
The retreat takes place at the Old New Mexico Organic Farm where balsamic vinegar and lavender are made and grown. The farm is located in one of the few remaining historic Spanish era plazas in New Mexico. The population in Monticello is about 25, the stars are bright, it is stunningly quiet, and cell phones don’t work. These retreats includes meals, prepared with organic foods grown and raised in the valley and prepared by farmer Claudia Jefferies.
Since our acculturated life is not in the same rhythm as our inner life, retreating far and away from distraction is necessary. Some people go on retreat to experience a pause in the pace and intensity of modern life. Others to ask big questions like, “what do I believe?” Retreat is a way to secure a promise, set a new intention, or ask for guidance. When the future seems obscured by a midst, retreat can bring clarity to what is ahead. When properly tuned answers come from within. Retreat is an opportunity to discover inner guidance, the wisdom of life itself. With distractions removed this voice is more easily heard. It is timeless, steady, and imperishable. It is our taproot.
The skills learned on these retreats can be used for a lifetime.
Space is limited ( 15 people per retreat) and these retreats fill to capacity every year. If your interested in attending please reserve your spot.
