New Mexico Natural History – Sierra County- October 2, 4, 9, 11 2018 – 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM. Come and learn about the plants, animals and landscape of Sierra County, New Mexico. There will be four sessions of 1.5 hours each. The class format is a presentation followed by an exploratory session using microscopes and other equipment to see nature from a unique perspective, during which you can create art using scientific illustration techniques.
Enroll in all sessions or if you can only attend one you can sign up for it. Course materials will include a binder with course material, drawing and graph paper, field notebook and use of art supplies and material.
Course topics will include:
– Descriptions of the ecoregions
– Mountain ranges
– More topics to be determined
– Hands on lab with using various microscopes, with scientific illustration and art creation

Cost is $100 per person for the entire workshop including course material. Individual classes are $25 and course material is $15.
